East Harting | Weeks 6-10

August 14, 2014 By Rob Hall

Timber frame is erected and the roof structures added.

The main timber frame arrives at the end of April and is erected within two weeks.

The first floor is installed above the hi-tech joists and the roof trusses are craned into position.

After this, the green oak frame is installed around the main house, creating the spectacular double height spaces at both the front and rear of the property.

The roof structures are then joined and the roofing team arrive to get the whole structure felted and battened ready for tiling.

Over 15,000 roof tiles are then ‘bumped’ up onto the roof ready for fitting whilst soffits and facia boards are fixed to the rafters.
